Leah Richter designs, develops, updates, maintains and troubleshoots websites. She began before she finished her Master’s in Web Design in 2005. Since 2011, she has done primarily WordPress websites. All web design before that were hand coded and designed. Leah is left and right brained, likes bringing order from chaos and writing. Web design uses all her skills and talents. She loves teaching about the web and is known for being able to translate tech talk into language lay people can understand.
She helps people understand what makes a good website from the visual, to the experience of using the website, to the content. Her book on the subject, 21 Secrets of an Effective Website, will be released soon.
Leah owns Richterworks Web. She works directly with clients and also works as a subcontractor to several other web and marketing firms. All work at Richterworks is done in-house. Leah also mentors on the web for Engaging Speakers’ members and speaks on what makes an effective website.
Her latest passion is LifeSkill Secrets. LifeSkill Secrets is designed to teach basic life skills (Care of Self, Care of Stuff and Life Management). At present, it does this through a blog. Books and online courses are being written and planned. It is designed for people who find themselves in need of life skills that they wish to do better or that someone has done for them in the past.
LifeSkill Secrets is designed especially for people on their own for the first time or the first time in a long time who need to learn or refresh basic skill sets.

Leah Richter is, quite simply, the best at what she does. She breaks down the language and confusion of the web for those of us who need to use the medium but lack the time to learn all of the nuances. She listens, recommends, executes and dazzles with her superior knowledge and ability to communicate best practices without jargon or condescension. She teaches me the questions to ask and the pitfalls to avoid. I never hesitate to ask her what may be nuisance questions for some – but for her is a teaching opportunity that she embraces.
