Michele Knight started her walk of Courage in 1999 when she realized her life was not what she wanted. Step by step she began walking away from the life she knew and walking into the unknown with nothing but a dream of who she wanted to become and only a handful of skills to take her there. She left her marriage, her career and the state she lived in to start a fresh new life.

With each passing day, she took more responsibility for the actions of her life. In 2001 she finally let go of her married name and chose a new name that inspired her. Knight was chosen for its reflection of COURAGE, strength, honor, having a sense of mission as well as unity and community fostered by the image of the Knights of the Round Table. These were all characteristics of the person she wanted to become. It became a beacon for where she was going – the NEW Michele.

Her story of courage and starting her life over inspired others. This inspiration called her to become a coach and help others make transformational changes in their lives. Today, Michele Knight, CPC, PCC is a motivational speaker, coach and trainer of coaches (at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching), where her passion, purpose and courage are demonstrated and shared with others.
