Dr. Melissa Wilke graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McGill University and continued her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the National University of Health Sciences and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the same institution in 2001.  Dr. Melissa Wilke practices Chiropractic at Progressive Athletics in West Chicago, where she focuses on family health, exercise and nutrition.  Dr. Wilke uses state of the art Power Plate equipment to both, run exercise classes with personal training and rehabilitation of injuries.

Lecture Topics:

1.        Stress and Health:  This presentation deals with the origins of stress, how they affect your body physically and how one can overcome those negative health effects.  Dr. Wilke will give you simple exercises and ideas to help you cope with the stress you encounter on a daily basis.  She will also explain why stress is so damaging to our bodies and how to overcome those effects.

2.        Allergies:  This presentation will educate you on what allergies are, how they happen and what alternatives exist to cope with them, how to strengthen your immune system so you are not as susceptible to developing or reacting to allergens.

3.        Digestive Problems:  The purpose of this lecture is to provide you with  facts concerning digestive-related conditions and the natural treatment options available to help you make an informed decision regarding the steps you can take to restore healthy digestive function.

4.        LOVE THE BODY YOU LIVE IN -Nutrition and Preventative Health:  This lecture is designed to educate the listener about how the food choices one makes affects your overall health, and well being.  This is especially important for young families, when eating habits are just being established.  You will learn what the bad food choices are, what the good food choices are and how you can easily transition your lifestyle to accommodate more health without sacrifice.
