A true human resources generalist, Andrea listens to her clients, assesses their needs, and delivers more than expected. She understands that the human resources function only adds value to an organization when it supports corporate goals while at the same time supporting employee morale and ensuring legal compliance.

Knowledgeable in the full spectrum of human resources activities, her passion is in assisting small businesses achieve success through their people.  She works alongside entrepreneurs, managers, and owners as an advisor to ensure legal compliance, as a consultant to set up human resource program, as a coach to make them great people leaders and as a mentor to on-site employees.

Andrea is the principal of Focus HR Consulting, which provides full human resources support to small business, provides a membership service through HR Helpline for those who want expertise just a phone call away, and provides webinars and public speaking on HR topics.

Andrea has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and psychology. She has experience in the following industries: hotels, restaurants, advertising, professional services, and manufacturing. She has lived and worked overseas in Mexico, Argentina, and South Africa and is bilingual in Spanish.
